Hello! It’s been a while!

This post is a long overdue shout out to let you know that I am still here, still gardening, and still digging out from our move earlier this summer.  To say that the move was all consuming almost feels like an understatement, as we have now lived and breathed boxes, paint, and home improvement stores for the better part of the year.  It’s been a long haul, but thankfully we are finally feeling more settled in our new digs and for the first time in months, it feels like the end is actually in sight.

I’m not going to lie, the garden is a hot mess right now, which is a big part of why things have been quiet around here.  In fairness, it could be a lot worse, but let’s be honest: the garden is absolutely the biggest loser in this move. Not only did everything get a late start, but I’ve also had to contend with hungry bunnies, deer, and less than picture perfect weed situation that I just don’t have time to deal with (on a positive note, the weeds have spared my basil from the aforementioned hungry bunnies–if they can’t find it, they can’t eat it!).

So even though there is not much happening in my garden this year, I still have some exciting things in the works.  Look for an official new garden tour later this month, as well as a slightly pared down Salsa Week and a great guest post from my friend Melissa of Sweet Bee Garden.  Thanks for hanging in there!
